ALEX GONZALEZ

Mr. Gonzalez has over 30 years experience in City Cleansing Projects and the Environmental Services Industry with a strong background in complex start-up operations in the International scenario with a record of success  and proven ability to enhance operational efficiencies and establish solid network of contacts and working relationships with business leaders, governing authorities, and labor unions. 

He is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences. 

Waste Management, Inc. has employed him for over 30 years.  In his current role with Waste Management, Mr. Gonzalez oversees government contracts and manages government affairs.  Prior to his current position, he spent seventeen years living in six different countries as Vice President of Waste Management International, LLC.  

Mr. Gonzalez also serves on various government boards, including the International Trade Consortium of Florida.  He is President of the South Florida Dept. Of Highway Safety Advisory Committee and is a past member of the Board of Directors of the prestigious Institute of the Americas from the University of California-San Diego

Alex currently resides in Miami Lakes, Florida with Mirtha, his wife of 23 years.  In addition, to his role in Waste Management, Inc., he serves as President of his own Consulting Company, The Argentis Group, Inc.  He has served as advisors to former Presidents Carlos Menem of Argentina and Jaime Lusinchi of Venezuela, as well as various Mayors and Governors throughout the Western Hemisphere.
