PHILIP J. POWELL, JR.

Mr. Powell has a diverse business background in both Health Care and Real Estate Development. Mr. Powell founded Convenient Care Medical Clinics, Inc in 1984. This group of urgent care medical clinics became the predominant provider of Occupational Medicine Services and Urgent Care in Pinellas County. Mr. Powell also was the founder of the Better Health Network; a health care television program produced by the CNN Health Division of Turner Broadcasting and is shown in over 10,000 physicians offices and medical facilities around the country. Mr. Powell was also cofounder of DenCor Management Services, Inc. a group of general and specialty care dental facilities located throughout Tampa Bay. Additionally, Mr. Powell is a principal in a number of development projects for office buildings and luxury condominiums.

Philip is a Florida native and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Florida. While at Florida, Philip also played football for the Gators and earned a varsity letter. He continued his education earning a Masters of Science in Hospital Pharmacy and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Utah.

Mr. Powell is active with multiple charitable and civic organizations and serves or chairs several not for profit boards including Pinellas Association for Retarded Children, North American Association for Urgent Care and Family Service Centers.

Philip has been married to Melanie Powell since 1987 and has two children Hannah and Pierce. His hobbies include golf, softball and skiing (water and snow).
